Meet Belky

“Hi, my name is Belky Ventura.

I have two daughters who are my biggest strength. They’re the ones who keep me going, even when life gets hard. I’ve dealt with serious health conditions for years, including diabetes, and I take multiple medications just to manage day to day. Still, I show up, because I’ve always been a caregiver for others, here in the Dominican Republic.

Now, my home has become another challenge I can’t ignore. The structure is unsafe, with crumbling cinderblocks and a leaking roof that worsens with every storm. My daughter and grandchildren had to move out because it was making them sick. I’m doing everything I can to keep moving forward, but I need to focus on restoring my home so I can live, and care for others, in a safe, stable space.”

Why We’re Raising Funds

Belky would never ask for help herself — so we’re asking for her.

Our goal is to raise $15,000 to repair her home, restore safe living conditions, and take one major burden off her shoulders while she focuses on her mission to caretake for others in her community.

100% of proceeds will go directly toward repairing her home — replacing damaged walls, fixing the leaking roof, and making it a safe environment for her and her family.
